I stayed here for a few nights as I was on a tour group. The hotel is on the older side. The hotel is really clean, my room and bathroom was clean and the sheets were fine. My only complaint is the air conditioner is extremely loud but it works well. I did take a star because of it.

This hotel is close to everything, and has great access to a wonderful city. Pricing of the room is absolutely exceptional. I would highly recommend anybody that has to come to the Charlottetown area to stay at this hotel.

Great place to stay! The building was clean and so was the room. The room had everything we needed for our one night stay. We did not have any issue to find parking spot outside the building, which was on first-come first-serve bases. The location was a quiet place only a few min drive to downtown. Nice breakfast with variety of foods. Kids enjoyed the pool. Staff was very helpful and responsive, we did not encounter any issue. Will definitely go back again!

I spent one night here with my family in mid-June. This hotel is located slightly on the outskirts of Charlottetown—not right in the downtown core, but still conveniently close. Overall, I’d say it offers good value for money. The breakfast had a nice variety and was quite satisfying. There’s also a lovely pool, although I didn’t get a chance to use it due to time constraints—but it was open and fully functional. The hotel itself is a small property with not much to highlight in terms of on-site amenities, but it was clean and had a modern feel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I didn’t encounter any issues during our stay. There are stores and restaurants nearby if you need to pick up anything or grab a meal, and the hotel is only a few kilometers from downtown, so it's still quite accessible. I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable stay near Charlottetown.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Amazing Stay at Rodd Brudenell River Resort, PEI What could have been a stressful situation turned into one of the best parts of our trip. Our original booking at The Rodd in Charlottetown was cancelled due to a burst pipe, but the company went above and beyond by giving us a complimentary stay with breakfast at Rodd Brudenell during the busy tourist season. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, friendly, and genuinely empathetic. A huge thank you to managers Steve and Tami for personally working with us to find a great solution and make sure we were taken care of. Even though it meant a 45-minute drive from the city, it was absolutely worth it. The cottage they booked for us was amazing — spacious, cozy, and full of PEI charm. The resort itself was stunning, with grounds so beautiful they felt like something straight out of a movie. Peaceful, relaxing, and the perfect place to recharge. We left feeling grateful, impressed, and already talking about when we’ll be back. Rodd Brudenell turned an unexpected change into a truly unforgettable experience.

We checked in around 1am after calling hours earlier to let them know of the late check-in, everything went smoothly. Their ample parking lot was full so I parked next to a lawn and let them know, they didn't have a problem with this. So staff were flexible and all around smiles. My experience and stay here was overall a 5 stars worthy, the only thing that didn't rank well with me was the size of their pool - it was tiny with an awesome water slide, but the pool itself was tiny. Approx 20-25ft by 15ft, 3'-6" to 5' deep though it really didn't even feel 5' deep. The waterslide deposited us into the deep end which was great, though at 160lb, my upper back grazed the pool floor each time - no harm done, just a caution for others of similar weight and what to expect. The pool was extremely popular - too much so for the size. IMO. Do I recommend? Yes, do come and stay here, the continental breakfast experience is what you'd expect. They pack up around 9:30AM for a 10AM close, come earlier than 9am for all the options, staff isn't short with the customers at all - mostly staffed with young people.
